A Legacy in the Making




For nearly five decades, the Atlantic Canada Sharodia Society has brought the magic of Durga Puja to the Maritimes. What began as a small gathering has grown into the oldest and largest Durga Puja in Atlantic Canada, uniting families, friends, and communities in celebration.
As our community continues to grow, we are working towards a long-cherished dream:
Our Vision
- A sacred home for Goddess Durga in Atlantic Canada.
- A multicultural hub for cultural programs, festivals, and wellness activities.
- A space where future generations can stay connected with heritage and community.
Project Snapshot
Location: Planned within HRM, on ~5.5 acres of land.
Initial Phase: Temple and community hall (350–500 people), stage, kitchens, accessible facilities.
Future Phases: Expansion to 1000+ capacity, yoga & meditation centre, Vedic learning centre.
Journey Ahead: Ongoing planning, fundraising, and community engagement to bring this vision to life.
