Cha, Adda and Sanskriti are among the top quintessential elements of the Bengali identity. In that context, it gives me great pleasure to introduce the inaugural edition of Sharodia Society’s online magazine ‘Lohoree’.
The society always strives to strengthen the interaction between community members and to increase member participation in community events. We feel that by launching this online magazine, where community members can send in their contributions and showcase their talents, the feeling of oneness will increase for members old and new.
Under the stewardship of outstanding editors, Debasree Sanyal and Munmun Bhowmick, I know that this endeavor will be highly successful. I will encourage community members to please send in their contributions as directed by them. I take this opportunity to thank the community members for their understanding and support for all the initiatives and events that the society undertakes at various times of the Year.
We are very happy to announce that Sharodia Society is going to publish a new online magazine named “Lohoree’’ . We cordially welcome you all to this new journey towards the creative world. There will be different segments containing various genres of art and literature. In every issue of our magazine there will be a special conversation with one of our veteran community members, so that they can share their eventful journey in Nova Scotia. Through this we will be able to get a glimpse of the history of Halifax. Our journey will not be possible without you all. We look forward to your whole-hearted participation.
